We gathered in Trento for the second GET-IN training school, Aril 1 to 4, 2025! It was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect, catch up, and engage in meaningful discussions about the GET-IN research topics in the inspiring environment of Trento University. It was heartening to witness the enthusiasm and keen intellect of our doctoral candidates (DCs) as they actively contributed to the dialogue and showed genuine interest in each other's projects.

The project review sessions were truly enlightening, sparking vivid discussions and fostering an impressive level of engagement among our DC students. During the first training day, we delved into the innovative realm of gene editing, guided by our principal investigators Anna Cereseto and Antonio Casini, along with their colleagues Giulia Maule and Alessandro Umbach from Trento University.
On the final day of our training, GET-IN students received in-depth insights into bioinformatics from Matteo Ciciani of Trento University and Antonio Carusillo from Alia Therapeutics. We wrapped up the training school with an interactive session on intellectual property rights, presented by our expert patent attorney from KU Leuven, Ivo De Baere.
